Sri Lanka Beach Property – For Sale or BOI Project.
The 20-acre property is 4 miles south of Chilaw town. Chilaw is 50 miles north of the capital Colombo and about 30 miles from the international airport. The drive from the airport to Chilaw takes about an hour.
The beach is about 50 yards from the property across the Ambakandawila Road. The road frontage of the property is also about 50 yards. The property is rectangular in shape, bordered by Ambakandawila Road on the west, unpaved country lanes on the south and the east, and another coconut property on the north. No buildings are allowed between the sea and Ambakandawila Road, which is picturesque (it borders the beach for miles) and sparsely traveled.

The property is actually between the sea and the lagoon (which on Google Earth appears as "Chilaw Lake"); the lagoon cant be seen from the property. The entire 20 acres is planted with coconut trees and a few cashew trees. Coconuts are plucked every two months and each crop yields about 5,000 coconuts on the average. The soil is sandy and suitable for tropical fruits and vegetables.
The Voice of America relay station is only about two miles away so the security in the area is very good.

The property is ideal for a tourist resort or hotel, or for holiday bungalows. I could recommend a good agent who will manage the property for a reasonable salary.
